Designing Your Appliance for Optimum Thermal Performance

April 12, 2018 - Tim Welch

We know the feeling of pressure when a customer comes to us for their gasket and heat management needs.  Many times during the whole design process, sheet metal forming, electrical requirements and even aesthetics are all considered first before sealing or insulating, who usually come up at the very last minute. It could be a design team’s lack of familiarity with the products and their requirements, which is why these two important aspects are always pushed to the back burner. All different aspects of design need to be included early in the planning process, including heat management and sealing. Today, we are highlighting a great article written by Traci Aloi, High Temperature Business Manager at Lydall Performance Materials, who puts the situation into perspective.
