Cloth

Silica Cloth provides continuous protection up to 1800ºF and will not melt or vaporize until temperatures exceed 3100ºF.

The most popular form of cloth is woven, although they are available in a number of different weights and thicknesses.

Features Include:

  • Asbestos replacement
  • Resilient
  • Fireproof
  • High temperature insulator resist to molten metals and radiant heat
  • compatible with most chemicals
  • low halogen content
  • high dielectric strength
  • minimal smoke emission
  • low thermal conductivity
  • no known health hazards
  • amorphous structure
  • cost effective

Silicone Coated Silica Cloth

Silicone Coated Fabrics are made with high temperature, corrosion resistance fabric coated in silicone rubber.

Often used in electrical insulation.

Features Include:

  • resistance to heat and chemical aging
  • resistance to ozone, oxygen and sunlight
  • resistance to chemical corrosion

Abrasion Resistant Cloth

Abrasion Resistant Cloth is coated with a specially formulated coating making it more abrasion resistant than standard cloth. This series is recommended for use in high traffic areas because the coating resists minor damage from dragging, scraping, tearing and snagging.

The coating also provides greater seam strength than standard cloth making it an excellent choice as a high temperature fabrication cloth.  There will be a loss of coating from exposure to high temperatures, only the abrasion resistance of the fabric will be affected, not its overall thermal performace.

Aluminized Cloth

Aluminized cloth is a material designed to reflect thermal radiation. It can be cut to various shapes or sizes depending on the customer's needs.

It is often used for insulation.

Tape

Silica tapes lower maintenance costs and provide high performance protection. They have been proven in numerous applications involving thermal insulation, energy saving, safety and electrical insulation.

Available in:

  • Woven
  • Wide Woven
  • Slit

Rope

Silica Rope is a controlled, high-density, braided, high silica product intended for service temperatures up to 1800ºF.

The Rope is braided from texturized yarns, pre-shrunk, and treated with a hydrocarbon finish to improve its abrasion resistance and ease of handling.

It is produced in a variety of sizes.

Rope Gaskets can be used where compact, dense, high-temperature performance compressive selas are required. For example, partial grooves in furnace or oven doors where the rope is not entirely contained. It is also used as a sealing element in many types of manufacturing equipment which handle heat, such as furnaces, boilers and ovens.

Sleeving

Braided Sleeving is the solution for an efficient, low maintenance thermal insulation.

Sleeving is available as standard or heavy wall. Standard sleeving can accommodate a large variety of diameters. Heavy wall sleeving is ideal for maximum thermal protection.

It keeps strength and remains flexible to 1800ºF

Features Include:

  • fireproof
  • resistance to oxidation
  • resistance to most corrosive solutions
